I have a small kitchen and living room, right now they are both painted a Sage green. They are however divided by a white arch way that matches our crown molding. If I painted the living room a different color would it make the kitchen and living room look smaller?

I bought jointed and glued woodwork. It came primed and we added three coats of paint, now the glue is bleeding though. What is the best way to fix this?
