Painting over wallpaper glue.
I removed wallpaper and as much of the glue as possible. There is still some residue. I was told to use KILZ oil base as a primer. Is this correct or could I use water based KILZ?

It’s a dark brown color and its to old already. But my cabinet is still OK. Only the paint I have a problem. Please help. Tell me what material can I use. And how take out the old paint to put on the new paint.
