While painting a ceiling I tried to go over a bad spot (it wasn’t as dry as I thought it was) and I pulled a silver dollar size chunk out. It looks awful, what are my options (touch up) without painting the entire ceiling again?

You can touch it up. Use the same method to touch it up as you used to paint the rest of ceiling, example use a roller. One problem you might run into is the spot might show after it it is painted. This is the ridges left when the paint was pulled off. Go ahead and patch the spot, sand smooth and retexture if your ceiling has an applied texture. Personally, I would try touching it up first then do the patching if necessary.
