We were given medium base paint in white semi-gloss from Lowes. When I went to buy more the sales person said they gave us the wrong paint. The medium base paint is to be used with another tint. Will this hurt? We already painted two rooms. Should we go over it with other paint. We ended up putting three coats of paint on the walls.

Probably no need to go over the previously painted walls. The wrong base will only cause you to apply more than two coats to get the color to cover.
Next time, PLEASE visit a local paint dealer not a lumber yard or department store for your paint needs.
