I have almost finished painting the outside of the house but have two areas up high out of reach of my 24 foot ladder. I tried to roll it with a long roller but not working due to horizontal siding. I am a little reluctant to go up high on a taller ladder. Would a spray system be an alternative solution? I would have to reach about another 10 feet or so. Thanks

Sound like you need a 32 foot ladder.
Yes, you could spray using a tip extension, a 6 foot long pole that attaches to the spray gun and holds the spray tip for reaching higher areas. If you do this you will still need to reach the trim, fascia board, with a brush or small roller.
Renting and using a sprayer is a possibility but you could also rent a taller ladder for a day. The ladder will be cheaper.
