The best paint for interior trim is a high-quality enamel. The best finish is obtained with paints that have self-leveling properties, and applied by using a fine bristle brush or microfiber roller. Many will offer a Satin version. A great example is Sherwin Williams Pro Classic; most major paint manufacturers have an equivalent product that will perform great for your purpose.
