I have a 19×19 deck that is about 20 years old. I have oiled the deck each each year with a natural oil that has just enhanced the colour of the wood. I cleaned the deck this year and it started flake away or left bare spots. They don’t make oil based wood preservative and now I can’t cover the bare spots. Would you have any suggestions as to what I can do! Thank you in advance.

You can Paint the deck… or you can first remove any oil, by washing it down with rag and Lacquer Thinner, then restain it with a DARKER color oil base stain…
Sand it down to new wood. This will let you use any product available to you.
