ABSOLUTELY NOT!!! Any coating used for potable water must be designated as "for potable water."
Potable water means water safe for human consumption. If the coating does not specifically allow "potable water use" do not use it.

Jay is correct! You will need to talk to your coatings supplier for a certified potable water coating.
