Exterior Wall Painting

share

Outside wall primed yesterday. Dried 5 hours before light rain. Light rain this morning – can exterior paint be applied in light rain for good results?

One Response

  1. No, the rain will damage the paint film and possibly keep it from forming. Any moisture, even light rain, will thin out the paint as it is applied. Some will get into and under the new forming film and cause bubbling and loss of adhesion.

It is best to wait for good weather.
