Front Door Color? – The Practical House Painting Guide

Front Door Color?

share

My brick is Salmon color, house is trimmed in clay color vinyl. I have painted the shutters black. I need an eye catching color for the front door.

  1. I also have a brick and salmon colored home but mine is a California retro ranch. I use the complimentary color to orange which is blue. For a more traditional home like yours, I would pick a beautiful Cobalt. Mine needs a little more retro so I chose more of an aqua/ teal color. It just depends on your personal taste. Some of my clients are more Comfortable with "safe" colors. I think the entry to your home should give a hint of what's to come and invite your guests in. Try a couple of samples painted on cardboard and take a look. Put them up and drive up to your home like a visitor and see what you think.
