Front wooden deck color?

share

My home is large, mostly dark brown siding, tan brick, deck is wood and brown, even downspouts are brown. What color should I paint the brown front wooden porch to make it pop or should I keep it brown (it’s a stain)?

  1. Keeping it brown has the benefit of providing you with a nice unity and cohesiveness to your color scheme. However, you could definitely stand to make it pop more by adjusting the color. Depending on the architecture and style of your house, you have a couple different options. For instance, a dark green would send off a classic, rustic vibe. (Try Sherwin-Williams' SW 2816 Rookwood Dark Green, part of the Victorian Romanticism color collection.)
