I had just dry wall up in the garage, and on the ceiling the tape was letting loose, and some of it was beginning to get a slight bow to it. The man put on what looks like popcorn texture. Will this work in a unheated garage?

If applied correctly to a properly prepared surface… YES… a pop corn ceiling will withstand limited weatherization in an unheated garage… HOWEVER it would be best to use an EXTERIOR grade paint for this application…
