I have a bed that’s solid wood (maybe oak or something) and they stained it an orangy red…or like a light cherry. I want to have the wood be darker. I would prefer to NOT just paint it brown but was kind of hoping their was some magic paint out there that was not totally opaque so it would still have the look of real wood & be darker. (I’d like to see some of the wood detail if possible) Please let me know if you have any suggestions. Thank you!

Please take a look at "<a href="//questions.house-painting-info.com/can-i-restain-a-piece-of-furniture-darker.html">Can I restain a piece of furniture darker?</a>". The only alternative to staining is using a tinted lacquer. This is a spray only product. As far I know, I don't think there is a magical paint that will do what you need.
