I would go with a rust red color. With a house that, I'm guessing, is surrounded by trees it is always a safe bet to go with colors that are natural and found in nature.
A complimentary choice would be a medium dark, warm cherry brown stain. This would offset the dark green with its red undertones. Dark green is a cool color, and if you want to keep the wood stain cool – I would pick a light sandy color.
