I am looking at an older townhouse that has one big room that is open it starts at one end with the living room and fire place straight into dining room then kitchen basically with no dividing walls. There are two bedrooms that break off the the large room and I want to repaint it but don’t know if I could paint the kitchen a different color since there really is not a dividing wall. Someone please give me help or ideas

Without a picture it is difficult to advise you… it is sometimes possible to cut a dividing line at some point to change colors… otherwise you should use just one color for all of it…
