I have a lot of oak trim in my home, just purchased an ivory sofa. I think I need a beige wall to warm the room but will that work with the oak trim? What color of paint would be best?

You can't go wrong with off-white…
There's many types of beige colors, but I would try to stick with warmer colors with some yellow or gold. Don't go too dark or striking for the whole area or room as this could be too much but an accent wall or two could be a nice compliment.
