I have a unique situation. We purchased a home with a three season porch. The previous owners appeared to have applied wallpaper directly to what used to be the exterior wall. It appears to be some sort of fiberboard (whatever is underneath siding). My question is, can this type of board be painted after removing the wallpaper?

Perhaps… but first seal it with a Pigmented Shellac Sealer Primer…after wallpaper removal, and perhaps after block sanding to get it smooth… then …finally top coat with an acrylic paint…
