I have a new fiberglass door. Do I have to put a primer coat in door before a stain the door. The door is light tan, almost looks like primer? The stain is gel Minwax.

No priming is needed. Just wipe it down with a clean rag and water to remove any surface dust. If there are any greasy finger prints these will require a little soap and water. Now your door is ready for staining and finishing.
