I recently had paint color matched for 3 rooms in my house. One paint matched well and the other did not. One difference is the paint that matched was a flat finish and the other 2 a satin finish. They should have been flat finishes.
The touch up color when dry looks darker than the area around it. Could the the satin finish be making the difference? If so, I would have a color match with the flat base.
