Yes… if the brand is a high quality paint and if you apply it properly… if the surface is a high gloss, you should LIGHTLY scuff sand it first for better adhesion… priming is really not necessary, unless you are going from a real DARK color to a real LIGHT color, in which case just give it a "wash coat" first, using the finish coat paint… as a primer…
